Microneedling is most often used on the face, but it can also be used to treat acne scarring, other light scarring, stretch marks and skin pigmentation problems elsewhere on the body. The most popular areas for treatment are forehead, between the eyebrows, nose, around the eyes, cheeks and around the mouth.
The number of treatments required depends on the extent of a client’s individual needs. Some clients may have one treatment if treating fine lines, wrinkles and loss of volume, or before a special event, other clients – particularly in the treatment of acne scarring or stretch marks – require more treatments. Most people will also need a series of treatments — typically at least two or three, but potentially as many as six, spaced four to six weeks apart. Improvement can be seen as quickly as 24 hours after treatment but It can take up to 4 months to see the full results. The new collagen often lasts for several years.

We will carry out a full consultation before your first treatment so we can make sure you are a suitable candidate for micro-needling treatment and answer all your questions.
Before your procedure, we may apply an anaesthetic cream to numb the area, but most clients experience little or no pain from the treatment so this is not always required. We will discuss this with you at the time of your appointment.
During your procedure, we will move the micro-needling device evenly across the surface of your skin to ensure that the new skin that regenerates during the healing process will be even too. The procedure takes approximately 1 hour in total.
Immediately after treatment, the client’s skin can be red but this passes within a couple of hours. Clients can resume normal activities straight away. Makeup should not be applied for a minimum of 48 hours post-treatment and exercise, swimming must be avoided for at least 48 hours.
Treatments should typically be taken 3- 4 weeks apart. Up to 6 weeks can be left in some cases.
We use the new Réjuvapen NXT® which is the next evolution for micro-needling. This new and improved easy-to-use, effective micro-needling tool can easily help repair deep damage to the skin without causing further scarring or discomfort.

Microneedling is unsuitable if you have any of the following conditions on the area of skin you want to be treated: Warts, Skin Cancer, Skin Infection, Active Acne, Impetigo, Rosacea, Diabetes, Eczema or Psoriasis.
If you are pregnant you will not be able to have the treatment.
If you are having or taking the following you will not be able to have Collagen Stimulation Therapy, Anticoagulants or Roaccutane. If you take Aspirin, stop three days prior to treatment with the doctor’s consent.
